Common Codes for Samsung Heat Pumps
The CF code will appear on your unit's display roughly once per month. This is an indication that you need to clean your unit's filters by following the steps below:
Clean Filter (CF)
1) Turn off the unit by pressing the power button on your remote.
2) Gently remove the filter from the top of the unit, and rinse with warm water. Let the filter dry.
3) Carefully snap the filters back into place when dry, and turn your unit back on.
4) To clear the CF code from the display, press the "options" button on your remote until the "display" option is blinking. Press the "Set" button on your remote.
Your unit may go into defrost mode numerous times throughout the day. This is a perfectly normal function of the machine, and nothing to be concerned about.
Defrost Mode (dF)
You may find that your unit is more likely to enter defrost mode during or after stormy weather conditions, such as heavy rain, snow or hail.
